John J. Hoven, 77, of Aston died September 29, 2013 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born and raised in Chester, son of the late John and Mary R. Martin Hoven, John had lived in Aston for the past 59 years.
John graduated from Chester High School in 1954 and was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. He retired from E.I. DuPont in 1998.
He was a member of the Aston Seniors and enjoyed trips to casinos, traveling and cruises.
Survivors: sister, Vera R. Lynn; niece, Deborah Ann Smith (Gavin); great nephews, Thomas and Christopher Smith; great niece, Jennifer Bostwick; great great nephew, Matthew James Bostwick.
