John H. Harrigan, 93, of Maris Grove, formerly of Aston, died August 6, 2014 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John C. and Erna Elsasser Harrigan. John served in the US Army during WWII and received the American Theater Ribbon, the WWII Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was employed as an operator for Bell Telephone Company (Verizon) for 30 years, was a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church and was a member of the Community Lodge, #744 F. & A.M., Broomall, PA. John enjoyed Philadelphia sports, loved the beach and the Jersey Shore.
John was the husband of Mary Morris Harrigan, his wife of 51 years; father of Judy Keesey and her husband Raymond Keesey; brother of Erna Jones; grandfather of David Keesey (Tammy) and Dawn Schmidt (Kevin); also survived by 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 12 Noon Wednesday at Mount Hope U.M. Church, 4020 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014, where friends may call after 11 AM.
Burial: Edgewood Memorial Park
