Obituary
John J. Cannon, 84 of Ridley Park, died peacefully on June 18, 2013.
Born in Dirlaught, Lettermacaward County, Donegal, Ireland. Mr. Cannon came to the United States in 1959 and settled in Malvern and lived in Lansdowne before moving to his late residence 48 years ago.
He was a carpenter for Carpenter's Union, Local 465, retiring in 1991. Mr. Cannon was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and the Knights of Columbus Peace Council.
He worked on the Alaska Pipeline for two years in the 1970's. He loved the Philadelphia Flyers; but most important to him was his devotion to his faith and family and he especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
Mr. Cannon was son of the late Hugh and Bridget Gallagher Cannon and brother of the late Neal Cannon and Bridget Logue.
Survivors: his wife Grace J. Brogan Cannon whom he married in 1961; his children Hugh Cannon (Jackie), Maureen Clark (Louis), John Cannon (Laura) and Christine Ladislaw (Jim); also his grandchildren Christopher, Daniel, Collin, Zachary, Austin and Grace.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Saturday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022 where friends may call 8:45 to 9:45AM.
Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
