John C. "Jack" Righter of Ridley Park passed away unexpectedly December 17, 2022.
Born in Philadelphia on December 30, 1953, Jack moved to Ridley Park as a young child. He was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (née Pitts) Righter. He was preceded in death by brother, Charles J. Righter and daughter, Jaclyn Righter.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Ronna M. Righter (DiNicola); the loving father of his daughters Danielle Manning (Scot), Lauren Gianneas (Dimitri), and proud grandfather to his granddaughters Adrianna and Dimitra. He was a loving brother to Peggy Milligan (Bob Malone), Chris Tait (Jeff), Cindy Henry (Wally), and Rob DiNicola; and a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Jack was a graduate of St. James Class of 1971. He was a dedicated employee at the University of Pennsylvania for 45 years. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years, loved golfing once a week, riding his bike, beach trips, and going to the casino. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his granddaughters that he adored.
The best years of his life were dedicated to coaching his daughters for the Ridley Park Athletic Club. He loved spending his time in more recent years as Coach Pop-pop, coaching his granddaughter for Media Softball.
A Visitation and Celebration of Jack's life will begin at 8:30 AM, Friday, December 23, 2022 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park with a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial private.
