Obituary

John B. Begley, 78, of Ridley Park, died April 4, 2012 at Taylor Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chester, he was son of the late John M. Begley and Rose Agnes Breslin Begley. He attended St. James High School and was employed as a painter in Local #921, Painters and Allied Trades Union and previously sailed with the merchant marines at Sun Oil Co.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church.

John loved riding his Harley Davidson and traveled to many states. He also taught many bikers how to ride, including his children. John had many biker friends and did a lot of charitable deeds. He will be missed by everyone.

He was husband of the late Margaret L. Black Begley who died October 10, 1991, father of the late Mary Teresa Begley and Margaret R. "Goog" Neary (JD) who died January 31, 2009, brother of the late Patrick Joseph Begley, grandfather of the late Charlie Rogers who died November 29, 2008 and step-son of the late Delia Quinn Begley.

Survivors: father of John B. Begley, Jr., Michael J. Begley and Shannon A. Begley, brother of Mary Begley Woelkers, Michael, Charles, Dennis and Manus Begley, Thomas and James Quinn, also survived by seven grandchildren.

Funeral Mass: 10 AM Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone

Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Monday and 8:30 to 9:15 AM Tuesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park

Burial: Glenwood Memorial Gardens
