John Bentley Bartholf, 77 of Glen Mills died peacefully at his home on February 17, 2015 surrounded by his family. John was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1955 and served in the United States Army. He was employed as a Draftsman at Philadelphia Electric Company for 40 years, retiring in 1995.

John was an avid gardener and genealogist. He enjoyed spending time in Ocean City, NJ with his family and friends, traveling, Irish music and telling stories about the good old days. His smile and gentle nature will be missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents John M. and Anna Bentley Bartholf and his daughter Susan M. Bartholf who died on July 15, 1984.

Survivors: loving husband of 53 years to Elizabeth "Betty" Spellacy Bartholf, devoted father of Karen Murtha (James), Teresa Lamarra (Ralph) and Patrick Bartholf (Danielle), brother of Frederick J. Bartholf (Maria), cherished PopPop to Chris (Kim), Lauren (Jordan), Kelsey, Mack, Patrick, Liam, Joseph, Molly, Kevin and Caiden, and great-grandfather of Kailey; also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass: 11 AM Monday at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA where friends may call 9:15 to 10:45 AM.
