John M. "Bake" Baker, 93, formerly of Folsom, died March 6, 2013 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, he was son of the late Albert and Hilma Petersen Baker.
Mr. Baker was formerly a manager for the Philadelphia Gas Works.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII. Mr. Baker loved music, playing the organ and was a master "Mr. Fixit." Bake has a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
He was brother of the late Gertrude Baker, Catherine Baker, Eleanor Zimmer, Hilma Cantwell, Norman Baker and William Baker.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mary C. "Mae" Hall Baker, to whom he would have been married 67 years on June 15; devoted father of Patricia T. Wendelken (Richard), John M. Baker, Jr., Kenneth J. Baker (Donna) and Rosemary T. Tomkus (Joseph); cherished grandfather of Kristin, Devin, Misty, Christina, Masha and Lilia; also survived by six great grandchildren.
