Obituary

Joey E. Glick Sr., 88, of Middletown Township, passed away peacefully in his home on December 4th, 2021. He grew up in Lenni Heights, the only son of Joseph W. and Clara E. Glick. He graduated from Media High school, class of 1951 and then went on to earn a Bachelors degree from West Chester Teachers College in 1955.
Joey did a term in the US Army, stationed in Stutgart, Germany. Ater that, he returned to Pennsylvania, where he began his teaching career with the Chichester School District. He received a Masters in administration from Villanova. It was with administration he remained, retiring in 1992 after more than 30 years with Chichester School District.
A lover of the game of baseball, Joey played from the time he was a child. He played into his 80/s and was inducted into the Delco Hall of Fame in 1999. Golf was another of his passion sports and he spent many a day on the links of his favorite country club, Radley Run. He was also an avid bowler; bowling up through his last year! All that knew him can also remember how he enjoyed singing. His beautiful voice echoing the likes of Frank Sinatra and Perry Como. He was a member of Mt. Hope U.M.Church , Radley Run Country Club, the Loyal Order of the Moose; and the Elks Lodge.
He was a much loved father to Michael, June, Joey Jr., and Gary; grandfather to Ben. He will be greatly missed.
A private service will be held graveside, with a memorial to follow at a later date.
