Joanne Brooks Miles, 70 of Ridley Park, died October 23, 2011 at Taylor Hospice Residence.

Born in Chester, she lived in Lower Chichester before moving to RIdley Park 43 years ago.

Mrs. Miles was a secretary for the Welfare Office in Chester until her retirement in 2006 and previously was secretary for the Borough of Ridley Park.

She was a graduate of Chichester High School, Class of 1958, loved shopping and walking her dogs Snow-e and Hope.

Mrs. Miles was the wife of the late Richard E. Miles, her husband of 37 years, who died in 2004 and the daughter of the late Earl J. and Elizabeth Frame Brooks.

Survivors; her son Edward R. Brooks of Linwood and her granddaughter Kerri Brooks, her stepson Joseph Miles of Prospect Park, also her sister Betty Watson, cousins Jane Ennis and Pat Jacono and two nieces.

Funeral Service 11:00AM Friday, October 28, 2011 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 10:00AM. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
