Joanne M. "Joan" Erb (nee Buckman), 92 of Palmetto, FL died on January 16, 2025.  Born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late John and Marguerite Lynch Powers, she had lived in Aston and Kentmore, MD before moving to Florida.

Before her retirement Joan had been employed as a Legislative State Assistant at the State Capital in Harrisburg, PA for ten years.  She was an active member of The Church of St. Joseph where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and always enjoyed volunteering.  Joan was active in politics and was elected as a Delegate to the National Convention in Dallas, TX, she was also a member of the Aston Republican Party, an Aston Committee Woman and Chairwoman of the Tricentennial in Aston. She also loved entertaining and reading but most important was her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Samuel D. Erb, mother of Gayle Robistow (Stephen), Debrorah Parente (Christopher), Karen Stuart (late Daniel), Lynda Dantonio (late Ralph) and the late Sharyn Nelson, sister of the late Margaret Neff, grandmother of the late Crystal Hickey.  Joan is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial were held privately.
