Obituary

Joanne A. Holland Curry, 80, of Aston, PA went to be with her Savior on September 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Ridley Park, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Atkins Holland and resided in Central Florida before settling in Aston three years ago.

Joanne graduated in 1958 from John Bartram High School in Philadelphia.  She enjoyed a career in early childhood education including operating her own private Christian preschool, Rainbow Lane Christian School.  Joanne was a member of Family Christian Center and a former member of Light House Church.

She loved music and was involved in many musical organizations.  Joanne loved going to church and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  She had a passion for Christian Ministries.  Joanne loved to dance, sing, travel, crafts, gardening and spending time with her family.  She adored her children and grandchildren.

Joanne was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel Rivell; two children, Raymond and Jennifer; and 1 grandson, Jacob.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Larry Curry; her children, Karen Lee Dowd, Scott Abendschein (Kathy), Suzanne Gardner (Tom), Lynda Arrants and Patrick Abendschein (Becky); sister, Patricia Elson (David); 11 grandchildren, Tyler, Brittany, David, Kira, Megan, Samuel, Noelle, Shea, Abby, Grace, Seth; and three great grandchildren, Avery, Eleanor and Kathryn; also, many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, services and burial will be announced at a later date.
