Joan M. Hartney Wilson, 86, of Ridley Park died April 5, 2017, at her home. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Helen Seckinger Hartney, and resided in Yeadon before moving to her late residence in 1953.

Joan was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls, class of 1949 and was employed by Strawbridge & Clothier for over 30 years. She was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and enjoyed the casinos and visiting Disney World. Joan loved shopping in Cape May and was devoted to her family.

Joan was predeceased by her son, William E. Wilson, Jr.; and her siblings, John "Bud" Hartney, Helen McGinn and Mary Baldwin.

Survivors: wife of William E. Wilson, her husband of 64 years; mother of Christine M. Wilson, Barbara A. Wilson, Joan M. Wilson and Judith A. Wilson (Lulevitch); also, 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave. Ridley Park, where friends may call from 8:45 to 9:45 AM
