Joan Marie (nee Lyons) Vivanco, age 69 of Folsom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 23.
"Joanie V" was born in Philadelphia. She was raised in South Philly and graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School. She worked at General Electric for a few years until she met her prince. She and her Prince Charming were married in 1968. She then became a stay at home mom and raised their 2 daughters.
Joanie V loved life. She was active in her daughters' lives as they grew up and until she passed. She helped in raising her grandchildren and loved to travel with her other daughter. She loved ceramics, bingo, reading, traveling to Disney World, and going to her "castle down the shore". She volunteered at St. Edmond's Home for Children helping with their activities and trips. She also had a great devotion to St. Joseph, or as she called him "Joe" and is sitting next to him talking his ear off right now.
She is preceded in death by her father Fred and her mother Jule (nee Wright). She had 2 brothers who were waiting for her also, Jack (Jean) and Pete.
She is survived by her Prince Charming Jack of 46 years and her princesses Joan Marie (Michael) and Julie. She has 5 beautiful grandchildren: Jacqui (Mike), Julie, Dani and Tori and Jackson. She has many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever miss her.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Monday at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 206 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park PA
Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Sunday and 8:15 to 9:15 AM Monday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park
Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
