Joan Luttrell Bell Mantegna, 96 of Lima Estates died on October 28, 2025. Born in Chester, the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Margaret Anna Sykes Luttrell, she lived in Odgen before moving to Lima Estates 14 years ago.
Joan was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1947 and had previously worked as a finisher at the Scott Paper Company. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in the Upper Chichester Fire Department (formerly the Odgen Fire Company). Joan was also a member of the Lima Estates Bridge Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and cruising, but most important was her family and many friends.
She was the wife of the late Grover J. Bell, Jr. who died on March 28, 1988 and Angelo J. Mantega who died on July 8, 2010, mother of Dennis Barrowclough and JoAnn Shestack, grandmother of Aaron Barrowclough (Laura), Adam Barrowclough (Tara) and Matthew Shestack (Anna), great-grandmother of Matthew Barrowclough, Emma Barrowclough and Lincoln Shesktack, sister of the late Marguerite "Peg" Baron and Joseph P. Luttrell and is also survived by her nephews Drew Baron (Elizabeth) and Stephen Luttrell (Jacque), her great-nephew Edward Luttrell and also her extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Aston, PA.
