Joan Brancato, 86, formerly of Ridley Park died on October 26, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cecelia Henderson Dettmann.

Joan was a graduate of Dobbins High School and also attended Widener University. She was formerly a member of The Church of St. Madeline and participated in the Amateur Radio Relay League (Extra Class, N35A). Joan was a loving wife, mother, aunt and grandmother and was everyone's adopted mother.

She was the loving mother of Sharon Pompilii (late Michael) and Joseph John Brancato, Jr and her beloved daughter-in-law Tena, sister of Patricia Sinni (late Richard) and the late Robert, Teddy and Harry Dettmann, also survived by five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her former husband Joseph John Brancato, Sr. (Winnie).

Funeral Mass 10 AM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where a viewing will take place from 9 to 9:45 AM. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
