Jesse P. Allen 91 of Upper Chichester, passed away April 20, 2016 at Riddle Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.

Born in Upland, Jesse lived at his residence in Upper Chichester since 1969. Jesse was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII.

Upon returning from WWII he worked at General Steel until it's closure. He then worked for Carpenter's Locall #845 for over 50 years, retiring in 1991. Jesse was also a watchmaker.

Jesse was a member of Green Ridge V.F.W. Post #926 and he enjoyed gardening. He could fix anything.

He was son of the late Jesse P. and Mary Bolger Allen and brother of the late Dorothy Crawford.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 72 years, Myrtle I. Peppel Allen; his children, Richard W. Allen, Kenneth R. Allen (Carole) and Karen L. Hennessy (Ed); also his grandchildren, Jennifer (Pat), Bob (Jess), Jessica (Andre), Samantha (Chris) and Ashley; also his great granddaughter Hailey

Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial is at Cumberland Cemetery, Media, PA.
