Jean G. Whitman, 80, of Glen Mills, died December 8, 2012 at Rose Court at Maris Grove. Born in Stoneham, MA, Mrs. Whiteman lived in Ocean City, NJ prior to moving to her late residence 13 years ago. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Jean's hobbies included being a seamstress, quilter, crafting stained glass, as well as numerous other crafts.

She was wife of the late Edward N. Whitman who died July 26, 1973, mother of the late Edward Mark Whitman who died October 22, 1996 and daughter of the late Harold and Isabel Arsenault Speight.

Survivors: mother of Norma J. Eichinger and Karen L. Owsley (Jeff), sister of Harold "Hoddy" Speight, also survived by her longtime companion Edward Wesolowski, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 12 noon Thursday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston

Visitation 10 AM to 12 noon Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery
