Janet E. Zeleznick Shive, 79 of Aston, died June 9, 2012 at Crozer-Keystone Hospice at Taylor.

Born in Chester, she lived there until moving to her late residence 54 years ago. She loved babysitting and continued until March of this year.

Mrs. Shive was a member of the Church of St. Joseph. She was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1951. She enjoyed casino trips, the Phillies and her favorite player Hunter Pence, but most important to her was time spent with her grandchildren.

She was wife of the late Thomas F. "Tucker" Shive, her husband of 48 years, who died September 10, 2004 and daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine Hampton Zeleznick.

Survivors: her children Thomas F. Shive, Jr. and Valarie Crowley (Joseph); brothers Ross Zelesnick and Stephen Zeleznick; also her grandchildren Carissa and Jenna Crowley.

Graveside service 1:15PM Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Section 9
