Obituary

James L. Semmelroth, III 58, of Ridley Park, died June 13, 2014 at Taylor Hospice Residence.

Born in Upper Darby, he lived in Wallingford before moving to his Ridley Park residence 25 years ago. Jim was formerly the owner and operator of Capitol Construction in Boothwyn.

He was a graduate of Nether Providence High School and enjoyed fishing and the Eagles and Phillies. Jim was a devoted and loving husband and father who has provided unselfish care for his daughter Ashley for many years.


He was son of the late James L. and Dorothy E. (Yessel) Semmelroth. and son in law of the late Howard Cooper, Jr.


Jim is survived by his loving wife Karen P. (Cooper) and daughter Ashley. He is also survived by his sisters Gail Birch (Robert) and Jeanne Thompson (Paul); his mother in law Kate Cooper; sister in law Kathleen Corcoran (Whitey); brothers in law Howard Cooper, III (Joanne) and Michael Cooper (Sara) and many nieces and nephews.


Funeral Mass 11:00AM Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at St. Kevin R.C. Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA 19064 where friends may call 9:30 to 10:45AM. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
