Obituary

James J. Pentimall 79 of Ridley Park died March 24, 2015 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor.

Born in Philadelphia, he was son of the late Joseph and Jennie Fannelli Pentimall and lived in Upper Darby before moving to his late residence in 1963.

Jim was last employed by the County of Delaware for 12 years, retiring in 2004 and previously was a History teacher in the Ridley School District for 32 years. He was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Jim was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and West Chester State Teacher's College, where he earned his B.S. and Master's Degrees.

He was a former Scout Master for Troop #339 in Leedom Estates and also liaison at local Eagle Scout Court of Honor; also was a former Ridley Township Bull who put together the Memorial in Leedom Estates and a former Ridley Township Commissioner for 24 years, serving as a member of the Municipal Marina Authority and chairman of the Finance Committee.

He also was an original organizer of the Leedom 4th of July parade, a volunteer with Special Olympics and a track coach for Ridley Junior High School but most important to him was time spent with his family.

Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Arlene Ballario Pentimall; his children Michael J. Pentimall (Nancy) and Michelle Pentimall Bookler (Matthew); grandchildren Christina, Amanda and Brianna Pentimall; his sister Dolores Parente (late Vincent); also nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park.

Visitation Friday 7 to 9PM and Saturday 8:15 to 9:15AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
