James J. McNamee, 84 of Media died on April 15, 2025 at his home.  Born in Chester, the son of the late Alfred S. and Veronica A. King McNamee, he grew up in Crum Lynne and lived in Woodlyn before moving to Media in 1969.

Jim was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1959. He owned and operated Quality Tours and drove for Krapf Coaches for 30 years before retiring in 2023.  Jim was a member of St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church, the St. James Alumni Association and TCA (Train Collectors Association).  He was a talented drummer and member of Jimmy and the Tropics who played frequently in Delaware County, at the Jersey Shore and in Coudersport, PA and Chesapeake City, MD.  Most important was his devotion to his loving family, especially his cherished grandchildren.

He was the loving husband of Madaline "Bunny" Carey McNamee, devoted father of Joan E. McCone (Christian), Daniel M. McNamee (Helen) and the late James Francis McNamee, grandfather of Colleen, Christian, Ryan and Hannah, brother of the late Alfred E., Frank J., Paul J. and Robert T. McNamee, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Monday April 21, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church, 39 New Road, Lenni, PA  19052 where relatives and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 AM.  Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
