James C. McGowan, Jr. 69 of Ridley Park, died on April 18, 2021 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.

Born in Philadelphia to the late James Charles and Norma Lee Davis McGowan, he lived in Miami, Florida before moving to Ridley Park in 1992.

James was a Project Engineer for Jacob Engineering, retiring in 2005.

He was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School, class of 1969 and attended Drexel University.

James was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard and was an avid reader, but most important was his devotion to his cherished family and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Robin M. Polito McGowan; his children James C. McGowan (Rusell), Tonimarie Eliasen (Mark), Amy M. DePrinzio and Jeremiah McGowan (Cressida); his siblings Barbara Paettie and Joseph P. McGowan (Marlene); grandchildren James "Chris", Hailey, Madilyn, Ashley, Zipporah, Regina, Reagan, Jack and Arabella; also survived by five great grandchildren.

Funeral Service 11:00AM Friday, April 23, 2021 at Hope Community Church, 19 E. Ridley Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 10:00AM .

Burial Private.
