James J. McGinn 99 of Marriottsville, MD, formerly of Aston, died November 10, 2020 at the home of his son.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Viola Gallen McGinn.

Jim was a graduate of West Catholic High School, class of 1938 and was a Staff Sergeant in U.S. Army for 3.5 years during WWII and was stationed in the Philippines.

He was a member of the Church of St. Joseph in Aston.

Jim was a Production Manager for General Electric for 43 years, retiring in 1982.

He was husband of the late Jamesina M. Burke McGinn, his wife of 42 years, who died in 1992 and father of the late Mary McGinn-Kelleher.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Presloid (Mark) and his son, James J. McGinn, Jr. (Donna); his grandchildren, Mark Presloid (Tatiana), Michael Presloid, Andrew Kelleher (Bridget), Michelle McGinn (Kyle Armstrong), Danielle McGinn and Erin McGinn; also, his great grandchildren, Isabelle and Madison Kelleher.

Funeral Mass:  11:00AM Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014, where friends may call after 10:30AM.
