James R. Keyser, 78, lifelong resident of Aston died January 11, 2020 at his home. Born and raised in Aston, he was the son of the late Charles William and Arline Virginia Jamison Keyser.
James served in the US Navy and was an accomplished tradesman in roofing and siding homes all his life. He also worked for S.A. Solomon & Son and R.T. Opdenaker. James was a member of VFW Post #6613, Moose Lodge #2189, the Lenni Athletic Club and was captain of his shuffleboard team at Martin's Crest Tavern. He enjoyed bowling, softball, darts, crossword puzzles, the casinos and loved riding with his dog, Cody, but most important was his family.
James was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Loveland Keyser, who died March 2, 1998; his son, Barry Williams; his granddaughters, Danielle Cowan-Toland and Randal May Wilps; his sisters, Flossie Clifton and Jean Gillespie.
He is survived by his children, Doris M. Cowan, Karen L. Keyser, Cheryl Borsuk, Harry William, Mary Jane Fabuien and Candice Plunkett; his companion of 20 years, Jeanne Racine; his siblings, Louise Hiddlemen and George Keyser; his aunt, Doris Nickel; also, 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life: 11:00 AM Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Moose Lodge #2189, 4090 Mount Road, Aston, PA 19014.
