James R. Higgins, Jr., 89 of Aston died on January 21, 2024.  Born in Rising Sun, MD, the son of the late James and Catherine Long Higgins, he lived in Collingdale before moving to Aston 66 years ago.
Jim was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, class of 1952 and before his retirement was employed as a Division Head at the Scott Paper Company.  He always enjoyed reading the Daily Times and playing the lottery.
Jim was the husband of 65 years to Joan Stockley Higgins, father of the late James R. Higgins, III and John E. Higgins, brother of the late Joseph O. Higgins, Jean Grag and Dorothy Wyatt, he is also survived by his grandchildren Kevin and Keri Higgins and his great-granddaughter Taryn.
Services and burial were held privately.
