James A. Heffernan, 51 of Sharon Hill died December 24, 2012 at his home.

Born in Darby, he was a lifelong resident of Delaware County.
Jim was last employed as dog groomer at the Mutt Hutt in Folsom and prior to that worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Woodhaven.

He was a graduate of Sharon Hill High School, class of 1979 and attended Temple University.
Jim loved his dogs Shelly, Toby and Stewart, also his cats Solo and Smudge and everyone's animals that he took care of. Jim was a selfless person, and always thought of others before himself; however most important to him was time spent with family and friends.

Survivors: his parents Dorothy M Maiers Heffernan and John J. Heffernan; his siblings John C. Heffernan (Clara A.), Joseph T. Heffernan (Tere Albanese) and Dawn M. Kramer (Ken); he was uncle of Alex, Patrick, Carolyn, Cameron, Nicholas, Kaity and Kyle.

Visitation 1:00 to 3:00PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park. Burial private.
