James H. "Stick" Stevenson, 68 of Eddystone died on January 27, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Howard Thomas and Claudia V. Patton Stevenson, he lived in Milmont Park before moving to Eddystone 20 years ago.
James was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1974. He was a member of Norwood United Methodist Church and had been employed as a Supervisor in the Engineering Department at Pennsylvania Hospital for 42 years before retiring in 2023. He was a Lifetime Member and former Chief of the Leedom Fire Company (now Ridley Township Fire Company No. 1). Stick loved music, especially Neil Diamond and Elvis. He also enjoyed model railroading, watching movies and going to car and RV shows. Stick was an avid Philadelphia sport fan but most important was his family, especially his cherished grandchildren.
He was the loving husband of 43 years to Catherine C. Ciccone Stevenson, devoted father of Jennifer Stevenson, Shannon Stevenson Cade (Rob) and Stacey Stevenson, the grandfather of Carmella, Savannah, Bryan, Aaron and Charlie and brother of Gary W. Stevenson (Sandra), Deborah Sladek (Robert) and Judith Alessandrine (Anthony).
Funeral Service 10 AM Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, where relatives and friends may call 7-9 PM Monday and after 9 AM Tuesday. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
