James H. Gorman, 52, of Marmora, NJ died suddenly on September 8, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Patricia J. Kane Gorman and resided in Delaware County before moving to his New Jersey residence 20 years ago.
Jim was a successful builder and entrepreneur. He co-founded, built and operated numerous large night club establishments including Boomerang's in Aston and on the Delaware River in Essington, Baha Night Club on Delaware Avenue, Philadelphia, as well as, a nightclub in Daytona Beach. Always gifted mechanically, Jim turned to building and renovating houses at the Jersey Shore when he relocated there. Besides spending time with his son Ashton, Jim enjoyed boating, tinkering with anything mechanical and spoiling his rescued cats.
He is survived by his beloved son Ashton, loving sister Elizabeth "Jennifer" Ratigan (Brendan), nephews Michael and Jack and niece Caroline.
Visitation: Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11am at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014.
Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery to follow
