James R. Frey 73 of Ridley Park died on April 24, 2023 at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Secane before moving to Ridley Park in 1979.

Jim was owner/operator of Sunset Farms for 31 years before retiring in 2021 and previously worked as Substation Electrician at Amtrak for 22 years.

He was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1967 and Penn State University in 1971 with a BS Degree in Business Management.

A member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Jim was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed photography, chess and gardening. Most important to him was spending time with his family.

Jim was the loving husband of the late Ritamarie A. DeRosa Frey, his wife of 44 years, who died in 2019 and son of the late John and Norma Amos Frey.

He was the devoted father of Timothy Frey (Gigi), and their children Ethan and Kora, Peter Frey (Janel) and their children Eddie and Max; and brother to John Frey, Jr (Peggy)

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022 where relatives and friends may call 8:45-9:45AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
