James F. Clutterbuck, 85, of Ridley Park died November 17, 2015 at Conner Williams Nursing Home. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Frank Walter and Mary Ellen O'Reilly Clutterbuck.
James was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, class of 1948 where he played football and baseball. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. James was employed as a Rigger for Westinghouse for 23 years before retiring in 1987. He previously was a Rigger for Sun Ship and a Merchant Marine at Sun Oil. James most recently worked for Villanova University as a Public Safety Officer for six years.
He was a member of The Church of St. Madeline, the American Legion Post 777, the Sun Village AA and the Naval Academy AA where he attended Navy Football games. James was a former member of the Green Ridge American Legion Post 926. He loved to paint and fix things; he liked big cars, the Jersey Shores (Stone Harbor) and the Cleveland Browns, but most important to him was his home, his wife and his son.
James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary P. Bednor Clutterbuck; son, Frank Stanley Clutterbuck and his girlfriend, Roseann Suez; and sister Irene Dudasik.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call from 9 to 9:45AM
