James J. Blake, 89 of Wallingford died on June 2, 2024.  Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late John and Mary (nee Dyer) Blake, he had previously lived in Secane and Wyndmoor.
James was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1952 and was a proud veteran of the US Army.  He was employed at the Pennsylvania Railroad for 47 years before retiring in 1999.  James was a member of St. Eugene's R.C. Church.    He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed swimming in the ocean in Wildwood, going to the casinos and racetrack and attending family gatherings.
James was the brother of Joseph Blake (Mej) and the late Jack Blake, William Blake and Mary G. McAllister, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Friday, June 7, 2024 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342 where relatives and friends may call after 9 30 AM.  Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
