Departed for heaven on June 10, 2010 of Folsom. Husband of the late Marion Sterling (nee Westenberger). Grandfather of the late John Sterling, brother of the late David Sterling. Father of John M. Sterling (Bettina), Arlene Shepanski (Stephen), Donald Sterling (Wendy), Robert Schaffer (Patricia), Walter Schaffer (Louise), Marion Stinglen, Jack W. Sterling, Jr. (Renee) and Barbara Ann Battinieri (Robert). Also survived by sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren

Funeral service 10 AM Monday, June 14, 2010 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park where friends may call after 9 AM. Burial Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
