Mrs. Irma M. Carter Kyle, age 103, of Madison, Indiana and formerly of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania entered this life on August 10, 1918 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the loving daughter of the late, Charles and Ida Kuhn Carter. She was raised in Bridesburg Section of the Great North East of Philadelphia and was a 1936 graduate of Jules E. Mastbaum Career and Technical Education High School. She married Victor S. Kyle in June of 1945. This happy union of nearly 66 years was blessed to raise a son, Wayne.

She worked several different department stores including Woolworth's before going to the Franklin Institute as an administrative assistant. In her younger years, she enjoyed a modeling career for several years. Irma and Victor settled in Ridley Park near Philadelphia, residing there for 55 years until she moved to Madison on January 1, 2012 to be near her son.

She was a member of the Ridley Park United Presbyterian Church, Ridley Park Swim Club and Jolly Girls. She loved arts, crafts and shopping expeditions. Irma will be remembered as a delightful lady with a quick wit and always looking her best. Irma died on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 8:16 a.m. at the River Terrace Health Campus in downtown Madison, Indiana.

Irma will be missed by her loving son, Wayne Richard Kyle, and Peter Woodburn of Madison, Indiana; her niece, Janice Dunlap; her nephew, Charles Richard Carter; her dearest friends, Tracy Martin, Doug and Suzi Martin, Alice and Jim Jackson, Mary Kay and Kevin McCubbin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ida Kuhn Carter, her husband of nearly 66 years, Victor S. Kyle, died March 13, 2011, her brother, Charles Carter and his wife, Montrue, her sister, Margaret Becker, her nephew, Jeff Carter and her nieces, Irma and Millie Becker.

Funeral Service 12:00PM Friday, March 25, 2022 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 11:00AM. Inurnment Edgewood Memorial Park.
