Irene M. Weakley Jenkins 90, of Aston, died December 14, 2012 at her home.
Born in Culpeper, VA, she lived in Front Royal before moving to Aston 62 years ago. Mrs. Jenkins worked at the former American Viscose Company during WWII.
She was a member of Homemakers, enjoyed bowling, loved gardening; however most important was her love and devotion to her husband, children grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Jenkins was wife of the late Leslie C. Jenkins, her husband of 55 years, who died July 15, 1995, mother of the late Leslie M. Jenkins, Jr., who died September 20, 2006, daughter of the late Herbert and Eva Jenkins Weakley and sister of the late Lucille Barham, Gladys Clinton, Elzie, Orville, William and Basil Weakley.
Survivors: her daughter Brenda L. Cavallero; her daughter in law Peggy Sliter Jenkins; brothers Russell and Kenneth Weakley; grandchildren Leslie William "Les" Jenkins (Betty Ann) and Rebecca A. Davis (James); also great grandchildren Evan and Morgan Davis.
Funeral Service 11AM Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston. Visitation after 10AM. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
