Ida R. Rasmussen Spalding, 107, of Riddle Village died April 24, 2020 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Essington, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Ida Johansson Rasmussen and resided in Ridley Park before moving to Riddle Village.

Ida was a graduate of Goldey-Beacom College and was employed as a Secretary at Temple University for 22 years before retiring in 1974. She was a member of Ridley Park Presbyterian Church and the Ridley Park Seniors. Ida was an avid Phillies fan and loved to walk, read and do crossword puzzles, but most important was her family.

Ida was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, John C. Spalding, who died October 14, 1992; and her siblings, Sonja Ekwell and William Rasmussen.

She is survived by her son, Robert T. Spalding (Eleanor McBride) of Mays Landing, NJ; and her grandsons, Robert T. Spalding, Jr. and David Spalding.
