Henry J. Capper, 82, of Ridley Township died on October 2, 2017 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was son of the late Aloysius and Catherine Kelley Capper. He had been a resident of Ridley Township for the past 18 years, previously residing in New Jersey and Florida.
Mr. Capper was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He attended Pennsylvania Military Academy and graduated from St. Joseph University. Henry had been employed in the Accounting Department at the Philadelphia Bulletin for 25 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Phillies.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Jane O'Neill Capper and his siblings, Aloysius and Robert Capper and Catherine Wirth.
He was father of Catherine Neathery, Joseph H. (Sandra), Edward A. and Paul M. Capper (Lori); brother of Paul Capper; and grandfather of Paul and Joseph Neathery, Mickey, Elizabeth, Jack, Luca and Alex Capper.
Funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday at St. John Chrysostom R.C. Church, 617 S. Providence Rd., Wallingford, PA 19086 where friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
