Helene M.  Friel McCann, 79, of Ridley Township, died on November 9, 2020 at her home.  Born in Philadelphia, she was daughter of the late Albert and Helen Simpson Friel, she lived in Glenolden before moving to her late residence 55 years ago.

Helene was a graduate of Interboro High School, class of 1959 and was employed as a Secretary at Swarthmore College.  She was a former Judge of Elections and enjoyed local politics.  Helene also enjoyed cooking, baking and shopping on QVC.  She was a dedicated caregiver to her late mother and aunts, and was devoted to her family, especially to her cherished grandchildren.

She was loving wife of 59 years to Dennis A. McCann, mother of Lisa Williams (Bob) and Michele Harlan (Tom Soli), grandmother of John Amendolia, Raymond Amendolia, Jr. (Michelle McHugh), Michael Amendolia, Heather Hoffman (Rob) and Juliana Amendolia, and sister of Albert Friel (Fran) and William Friel.

Due to Covid-19 services and burial will be private.
