Helen S. Windbeck 93 of Chadds Ford, died on January 27, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.

Born in Flemington, NJ, Helen was daughter of the late Sigmund and Elizabeth Marcy Siti.

Helen was a former longtime resident of Essington, where she raised her family. She was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church and a dedicated member of the Order of Eastern Star in Prospect Park, where she served as Worthy Matron. She was a nurse at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park and later worked at Westinghouse in Essington.


She was the heart of her family and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her dogs and cat.

Helen was happy to be part of every special event, even when it became difficult for her to get around. She will truly be missed by all.

Helen was wife of the late Gordon Windbeck, mother of the late Elizabeth J. McDowell and sister of the late George, Sigmund and Louis Siti.

Survivors: her daughter Bobbie Mills; her brother Albert Siti; grandchildren Danielle Moen (Patrick), Shawn McDowell and Shane McDowell (Amy); also her great grandchildren Seth, Jake, Brianna, Brendan, Grace and David.

Burial Eucharist 10:30AM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 576 Concord Rd., Glenn Mills, PA where friends may call after 9:30AM. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
