Helen E. Votta 79 of Ridley Park ,a devoted wife, mother and grandmother died on October 9, 2013 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, Helen has lived at her late residence since 1963.
Helen was the devoted wife of the late Henry J. Votta, her husband of 60 years, who died in 2011 and loving mother of ten beautiful children.
Helen loved spending time with her family and enjoyed camping with her friends in Lancaster. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband and friends; also going to Wildwood and Atlantic City. Helen loved everything about cheerleading, from being a cheerleader herself to coaching cheerleading with the Ridley Park Boys Club.
Helen was devoted to Saint Anne and always said a special prayer to her for special intentions for anyone in need of help or guidance.
Sunday breakfast was a tradition at the Votta house and remembered with fond memories.
She was mother of Henry J. "Hank" Votta, Jr. (Gloria), John Votta (Patty), Helen Mary Cooney (Francis), Lori Walkowski (Tom), Alice Penny, Arthur Votta (Ann), Sally Smith, Brian Votta (Anne Marie), Teresa Langdale (Michael) and the late Ann Anders (Bruce); also survived by 23 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her friend Tommy Homka.
Visitation 7 to 9PM Monday, October 14, 2013 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
