Helen J. Schulte Short, 85 of Ridley Park died November 19, 2012 at her home.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived there until moving to Ridley Park 56 years ago.
Helen was a payroll clerk at the former Strawbridge and Clothier in Philadelphia for 18 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and the Sodality, the Ridley Park Seniors and the Young at Heart, but most important to her was her family and dedication to her church.
Helen was wife of the late James P. Short who died in 2005, daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Lee Schulte and sister of the late Margaret Thomas, John Schulte and Harry Schulte.
Survivors: her children Dennis R. Short, Patrick J. Short (Eleanor), Judith Ann McLaughlin (Peter), Jeanne M. Mignone (Robert) and Veronica L. Short; grandchildren James, David, Jeanne, Erin, Carl, Ashley, Seamus, TheresaEleanor and Regan.
Funeral Mass 10:30AM Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park. Visitation 9 to 10:15AM at the Church. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
