Obituary

Helen Berkeihiser Sweeney, 88, of Ft. Pierce, FL died March 6, 2016 at Lawnwood Region Medical Center. Born in Frazer, she was a daughter of the late Hughy and Jessie Longaker Berkeihiser and resided in Clifton Heights and Folsom before moving to her late residence in 2008.

Helen was employed by Ridley School District in food service for 21 years before retiring in December 2006. Also, she was a home party salesperson for a local toy distributer for many years earning top seller awards. She was a former member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church and the School House Senior Center. Helen loved to travel, do needlework and gardening.

She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, John J. Sweeney, Jr., who died March 26, 2003.

Survivors: mother of John J. Sweeney (Alberta), Mary Kathryn Sweeney, Robert W. Sweeney and Theresa M. Taylor (Nigel); sister of Edith Pennington; sister-in-law of Agnes Byrne; also grandmother of Olivia and Andrew Fennick.

Visitation: 8:15-9:15 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078

Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA 19033

Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
