Obituary

Helen M. Naugle (nee McGowan), 92 of Ridley Park died on January 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.  Born in the Meadows section of Southwest Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Lillian Moestellar McGowan, she lived in Eddystone before moving to Ridley Park in 1955.


Helen was a member of the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon.  Before her retirement Helen worked at the Franklin Mint. Helen always loved traveling with her husband and spending time at their home in Ocean City, NJ.  She also enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, especially around the holidays.


She was the loving wife of the late John L. Naugle who died on October 19, 2022 after 72 years of marriage, mother of John L. Naugle, Jr. (Linda) and Janice M. Naugle-O'Shea (Walter Price), sister of the late Jean Wallin and Lillian Pubusky, grandmother of Lindsay Grimes (Jim), Daniel O'Shea (Melissa), Patrick Naugle, Casey O'Shea (Gianna) and the late Merydth Lambert, she is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078 where relatives and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45 AM.  Burial will follow in Edgewood Memorial Park.
