Helen A. Crowley McGowan, 80, of Brookhaven, died December 19, 2018 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Carl A. and Mary E. Durkin Crowley and moved to Ridley Park in 1966 before moving to her late residence in Brookhaven in 2006.

Helen was a graduate of Notre Dame High School for Girls, class of 1956. She was employed by L&H Enterprise as the Office manager for 25 years before retiring in 1999 and was a member of the Church of St. Madeline. Most important to Helen was her family and children.

Helen was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, William J. McGowan, who died May 28, 2005; and her brothers, Joseph E. Crowley and David F. Crowley.

She was the mother of William B. McGowan (Rhonda), Joseph J. McGowan (Nicole) and David C. McGowan (Joanna); grandmother of Austin, Kathryn, Maya, Marin, Joseph, Jr., Christopher, Cieran and Cara; and sister of Dorothy J. Crowley, Robert T. Crowley (Dianna), Barbara J. Maiorano and Eugene R. Crowley (Dottie).

Visitation: 8:15-9:15 AM Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078.

Funeral Mass: 10 AM Saturday at the Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078

Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
