Helen Marie Nass Hellings, 84 of Ridley Park, went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2012 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.

Born in Chester, she lived there until moving to her late residence 40 years ago.

Helen's final days were spent surrounded by her loving family. She loved her family deeply, which was shown through her caring affection, prayerful spirit and willpower to live through various major operations over the past several years. She showed us the resilient strength of the human body and the grace of the Holy Spirit. She was an inspiration to all of us and shall always be remembered.

Helen was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church.

She was wife of the late Kenneth C. Hellings, her husband of 35 years, who died January 13, 1982, daughter of the late Knute and Helen Marie Halvorsen Nass and sister of the late Lillian MeGonegal and the late Robert A. Nass and grandmother of the late Michele Carney and Stacie Burnell.

Survivors: her loving children and their spouses; daughters Janet M. Thue and Nancy Shedlo; sons Kenneth C. Hellings, Jr. and Ross Hellings; brother Larry J. Schuelie and sister and best friend Marlene L. Marshall and her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service 10:00AM Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Woodlyn Baptist Church, 1125 MacDade Blvd., Woodlyn, PA.
Visitation after 9:00AM at the Church.

Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
