Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Helen A. Feeney, a cherished member of our community, whose life was marked by kindness, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to family and friends. Helen left us on June 6, 2025, leaving behind an indelible legacy that will forever remain in our hearts.

Born on February 8, 1931, Helen grew up in Philadelphia on Belmar Street, went to West Catholic High School, and Married John B Feeney on April 18, 1959 and moved to Swarthmore in 1961. Their early years were shaped by raising a family of three children with the determination to make every moment meaningful. Jack and Helen enjoyed going to Sea Isle City every year for vacation and visited Florida every February in their retirement years. Helen was known for her extraordinary dedication to working as a mother and as a data entry at Matlack. Helen was proud to be from Irish Ancestry and was the final member of her generation from both sides of our family.

The family held a special place in Helen's heart. Helen leaves behind a husband predeceased John B. Feeney and a son predeceased John A. Feeney son Joseph B. Feeney, wife Karen Feeney and a Daughter Eileen Morgans. Helen also leaves behind Daughter in Law Roxanne Feeney and her son and grandson John Feeney. Helen also has grandchildren Kelsie Feeney, Lauren Feeney, Sean Feeney, Amanda Morgans and Evan Morgans.  Her generosity and warmth extended beyond their immediate family, embracing a wide circle of friends and neighbors who were fortunate to experience her kindness firsthand. Helen had the unique ability to make everyone feel valued and understood, a testament to her genuine and giving nature.

As we remember Helen Feeney, we celebrate not only her accomplishments but also her capacity to touch lives in profound ways. Whether offering a listening ear, having a cup of tea, sharing a hearty laugh, or lending a helping hand, with many of her neighbors. Helen's legacy is one of compassion, love, and humanity. Her impact will be felt for generations to come, reminding us of the power of kindness and the importance of living with purpose.
