Helen R. Traub Doyle, 96, of Lima died December 27, 2016 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center.  Born and raised in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Otto Walther Traub and Sarah Gertrude McFate Traub and resided in Woodlyn before moving to her late residence four years ago.


Helen was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church and the Ladies Auxiliary Herbert W. Best VFW Post #928.  She was self-taught and played the piano by ear.  Helen enjoyed Bingo at Notre Dame for over 35 years, monthly trips to the casinos and weekly lottery tickets.


Helen was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Henry P. Doyle, who died May 30, 1980; her son, John J. Doyle, Sr. (Jackie); and her 12 siblings.


Helen was the mother of Lawrence R. Doyle, Sr. (Lorraine) and Helen M. Gallo (Joe); mother-in-law of Cheryl Doyle; also, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.


Funeral Mass:  10:30 AM Friday, December 30, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA 19033, where friends may call from 9:15-10:15 AM


Burial:  SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
