Harry S. Young, 88, of Holmes died March 26, 2019 at his home. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Quaile Young and moved to his late residence 54 years ago.

Harry was a graduate of BOK High School and was a decorated Korean War Veteran who served in the US Army. He was employed as a Crane Operator for Gulf Oil in Philadelphia until he retired in 1986 then worked at Inglis House as a Plumber until 1993. Harry loved hunting, fishing, gardening and was devoted to his family.

He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Mildred V. Young, who died in 2009; and his siblings, John Young, George Young, Daniel Young, Loretta Knight, Mary Denny, Elizabeth Rose and Rose Young.

Harry was the father of Harry S. Young, Jr. (Deborah), Annie Park and Linda Davis; brother of Katherine Thum; grandfather of Justin, Melissa, Harry, Linda, Jason, Annmarie, Thomas, Kellie, Bryant and Jeanine; also, survived by 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Monday, April 1, 2019 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078, where relatives and friends may call after 9:00 AM.

Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery
