Harry was born on December 18, 1928, in a home in Milmont Park built by his parents, the late
Joseph and Pauline Guarente Sperone. Besides his parents, he shared that home with his four
brothers and two sisters.
He attended Ridley Township schools until he enlisted in the military
service. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War at Inchon where his unit
assisted the engineers by building roads and MASH units. While serving, he attained the rank
of Sargent.
On leave back in the US, Harry met the love of his life. Rose Vail. Upon his return
from his military duty, he married Rose and moved to Boothwyn. Harry and Rose had three
children, baby Joseph, Deborah, and Harry, Jr.
Harry worked for GE Corporation in Philadelphia for 40 years as an assembly wireman. In the
early 1950s, Harry and Rose bought property in Lewes, Delaware, and built a home which
would become a wonderful vacation spot for family and friends. They loved to entertain at
their vacation home, and spent many wonderful hours fishing and boating.
Harry was a very devoted husband and father, and loved helping family, neighbors, and anyone
who needed a helping hand. He was especially proud of his military service in the marines.
Harry was predeceased by his wife. Rose, three children, baby Joseph, Deborah, and Harry, Jr.,
brothers Carmen Sperone, Joseph Sperone and sisters Mary Morris and Julia Gincley.
He is survived by nieces Marie Sperone and Donna Sperone of Milmont Park who were his
caregivers, two brothers, Victor Sperone of Stuart, Florida, and John Sperone of Glen Mills.
He is also survived by two granddaughters, Melanie Shuemaker and Amy Johnson and one great grandson, Matthew.
Funeral Mass 11:00AM Monday, October 17, 2022 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA where relatives and friends may call 9:45 to 10:45AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
