Harry L. Bowe, Jr. 88, of Folsom died November 11, 2013 at his home.
Born in Upland, he was a lifelong resident of Folsom. He was a Special Education teacher in the Interboro School District for over 20 years, retiring in 1990 and previously owned and operated Bowe's Variety Store in Woodlyn and worked at Sears Roebuck Company in Chester.
Harry was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII and was a Charter Member of the Woodlyn V.F.W. Post 6349.
He was also a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church. Harry volunteered at the Woodlyn Baptist Church, teaching English as a second language for thirteen years.
He was husband of the late
Florence A. Travers Bowe, his wife of 60 years, who died in 2012, son of the late Harry L. and Kathryn G. Bray Bowe and brother of the late John "Jack" Bowe.
Survivors; his children James V. Bowe (Tuaoloa), Kathy A. Torrence, Susan M. Bowe and Eileen Bowe; granddaughter Colleen Torrence; many nieces and nephews. Also special thanks to caregivers Natalae, Fioana and Diane.
Funeral Mass 10:30AM Friday, November 15, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA where friends may call 9:30 to 10:15AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
