Obituary

Harry Bakow, Sr. of Aston died July 10, 2014 at the Residence at Glen Riddle. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Springfield prior to moving to Aston 50 years ago.

Harry worked for General Electric for 34 years and was a member of St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII with the 3rd Infantry Division, making landings at Sicily, Italy and France, receiving the European Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars and one Bronze Arrowhead and the WWII Victory Medal. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict and he then served in the Air National Guard of Pennsylvania

Harry was predeceased by his first wife and the mother of his children Olga Martorelli Bakow; his second wife Margaret Delaney Bakow, who died in 1998; his parents Elia and Anna Leckowicz Bakow; also his siblings William, Sophia and Frances.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Agnes M. Wilson Bakow; sons Harry Bakow, Jr. (Jan) and Eric Bakow (Cindy); grandchildren Adam, Brianna and Justin; also his brother Leon Bakow.

Funeral Mass 11:00AM Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church, 39 New Road, Aston, PA 19014 where friends may call 9:15 to 10:45AM. Burial in the adjoining church cemetery.
